Very tempted! It looks beautiful

GettingStuffed · 13/09/2024 19:17

Doesn't do thing for me I'm lusting after the liberty one which zid hoped to be able to afford this year but house refurbishment was more than expected. I'll be lucky to get a Cadbury one.

TeaGinandFags · 13/09/2024 22:16

Looks lovely but pricey.

I usually go for a Maltesers one. A bit more affordable and in line with the troglodytes who live here.

Atomsaway · 13/09/2024 22:34

At £390, not a chance!

Someone gave me one of their candles last Christmas and it was amazing, but still….

Wondergoldenlight · 13/09/2024 22:37

Absolutely not. 25 random fragrances that I may or may not like £400? I’d rather go and find a couple of fragrances I like and buy those products. Diptyque is a massive rip off though

is this the marketing manager?

TomatoSandwiches · 13/09/2024 22:43

I'd be tempted at £250 but not nearer to £400.

Trainerstrainers · 13/09/2024 22:48

Nope, as above what if I don’t like the fragrances. Plus I have quite a few Diptyque candles knocking about so I wouldn’t have anywhere to store more!

iceandcheques · 13/09/2024 23:16

I had one before and it was such a gorgeous treat. Freely burning the candles at Christmas was divine. I still have some of the empty little glass jars with perfume samples and hair grips in. The toiletries were gorgeous too. It is pricey but personally I loved it.

CalicoPusscat · 13/09/2024 23:18

My gosh, the price - it does look lovely though

TomatoSandwiches · 13/09/2024 23:18

Do we have an Advent calendar thread yet? I need something for my mum and grandmother, one really artsy/crafty unique and one really luxurious, spoiling moment.

Summerhillsquare · 13/09/2024 23:19

I had a Diptyque candle in my Liberty advent calendar, living the Mumsnet dream 😁

wintersgold · 13/09/2024 23:20

Didn't know Diptyque made an advent calender, I'm so very tempted now! And it sounds like a very good deal to me, for someone who knows they'll enjoy the fragrances it's perfect.

Anjo2011 · 13/09/2024 23:21

I looked too but there’s too much fragrance and not enough candles. Not that I would spend that much anyway. But if I did have a budget like that I’d just buy one of the very big candles they do which are around the same price of the advent. But yes, it’s beautiful.
