Every day is a bad hair day - anyone else?

I have lost a lot of hair mainly from the front so I have a really big forehead. The hair I have left is sparse. Basically when I look in the mirror, I look like a big egg! I cannot wear extensions (not enough hair to cover them). It is getting me down so much. I dont feel like I want to wear a wig either - too hot and itchy. Has anyone been through this? Any ideas of turbans, hair bands that wouldnt look ridiculous on a middle-aged woman? It is really affecting my confidence.

I know someone who wears these all year round and looks tremendously elegant. (They are not cheap when full price but it is often possible to buy them much reduced in the sales.)

Rosie Sugden turbans

For myself, from round about now, for warmth rather than any cosmetic reason, I have taken to wearing a lightweight beanie, generally from:

inside the house. I switch to rather fancier and more heavyweight knitted hats outside.

(I’m rather older than you and don’t understand your ‘looking ridiculous because middle aged’ comment. How could a cashmere turban or a simple knitted beanie not look chic on anyone?)

I guess I mean I think they generally look stylish on the young and hip but I look more Hilda Ogden. 😁 Those turbans look lovely but far too hot for me. I live in a hot country and have hot flashes, I just couldn't!

What about a hair topper. Much lighter weight than a wig and the more expensive ones look really natural.
