Daily moisturiser for an 11 year old?

minipie · 12/09/2024 09:22

My DD is 11, she’s started to get spots and is using some gentle over the counter anti spot products. However these are making her skin a bit dry and tight, she tends to dry skin anyway.

All the moisturisers I look at in Boots have so many added extras, mainly for anti ageing. They really don’t seem suitable for an 11 yo and may cause reactions or more spots I suspect.

Any ideas? Thanks

Simple daily moisturiser. Hasn't got all the perfumes like others have

Simple or Cerave

I think CeraVe is non comedogenic, that's key.

You may also want sunscreen depending on what your DD is using.

Also you could look at moisturizer specific for blemished skin.

Cerave lotion

Byoma bubble cloud!

It is great for tweens and teens.
No harsh ingredients either!

Simple was my first thought.

Thanks all! I do like Cerave generally, she is using their face wash, but I was put off the Cerave moisturiser by the ceramides and hyuralonic acid and SPF etc but maybe that’s just normal these days for moisturisers??

Will have a look at Simple and the Superdrug one too thank you.

never heard of Byoma, where would I buy it? Thanks

eta: just seen Byoma is also in boots, must have missed it!

Edited

Cerave lotion and the one in the tub doesn't have SPF.

Thanks - I see that one also comes in a pump bottle which would be great as she seems to have a blind spot about putting lids back on 🙄🙄🙄
