Autumn Photo Shoot Outfit

Long time lurker, first time poster… I’ve seen his many fabulous recommendations you’ve all shared on other threads so throwing my towel into the ring. I have an autumn family photo shoot booked to get some updated pics (as I am never in the family shots!) and I’ve just realised that my planned outfit is exactly the same as what I wore 7 years ago (literally the same clothes, shoes and coat!) the last time we did this. I need an update, I need help! Last time I wore a midi dress, brown knee high boots and beige fitted coat (like fit and flare coat, I still love it!).

So I’d love it if you could share ideas for an outfit. Requirements are:

  • Size 10-12 and 5ft10
  • No heels or very supportive low heel ankle boots
  • I have really skinny chicken legs so would prefer them covered! Could wear thick black tights though too
  • dresses preferred over trousers/jeans but if you have inspiration on how I could wear this, go for it, let me know
  • no shapeless dresses
  • I am very pale and so colours can be difficult… all shades of orange are a no and I’m not keen on olive/khaki either
  • kids will probably be in neutrals or navy
  • budget is open, hopefully under £200 all in but happy to splash if needed
  • my go to shops are Nobody’s child, warehouse, French connection, that sort of thing….

Hit me with ideas peeps….. 😁

A leopard print slip dress or skirt with a chunky jumper, your boots and (if you like) a leather jacket?

or stick with the midi/maxi dress but pick something like burgundy or forest green
