Solovair "Hi Shine" Leather Boots

Hi All,

I've just received a pair of oxblood boots in Hi Shine leather and this morning discovered that it is normal leather, overlaid with some kind of plastic coating.
How have owners found the leather wearing in everyday use, does it crease and wear in like normal leather?
Trust Pilot reviews don't mention it hence the question.
Thanks,

I found a load of information on reddit. Firstly don't wear them every day, if you wear one day don't forget another two as this helps the leather dry out. Immediately after taking off make sure you wipe off any dirt or water from them, eve. if it's not obvious . It seems you need to oil them once a month. Eventually they crack where your foot bends

That seems a lot of work to me .

Thanks for the advice. I wish I'd known before I bought them, I have a pair of the Crazy Horse boots that don't have this problem, so I looked at "Hi Shine" and assumed it referred to being able to polish it up!
Sadly I can't return them as I wore them outside yesterday...
