Best face moisturiser for dry skin

Hi, any recommendations for good moisturiser for dry skin patches? Started getting some dry patches of skin on my face a couple of months ago. Have been using number 7 day and night creams for the last few months, so switched to try Clinique moisturiser (which I used to use before) for the last few days to see if it made any difference, but if anything it's got worse.

Would love some recommendations to try as there is so much choice out there.

I'm using Cien matureage . It's really rich but isn't greasy and my skin feels lovely and soft.

Weleda skin food is very rich and moisturising. It can be a bit much for the day under make up, but as a night cream or just used on the very dry areas it's excellent.

Weleda skin food is my go to (the dark green one)

the smell can divide opinions ( i personally love it) and you need to work it into your fingers to warm it up slightly so you can apply to your face but it works wonders on my skin in the colder months

in summer i can get away with Embryolisse -Crème Concentré, but I do prefer the weleda, esp under make up

Another vote for this, it's brilliant and doesn't break the bank.

For years I had dry patches on my forehead and under my mouth but since I've used Cerave I've not had 1 bit of dryness.

Thank you, will have a look at the suggestions and order some to try.

I second this. Brilliant moisturiser - I'm on my 4th pot. Also recommend Eucerin Urea cream and a good mask - currently using Oskia AHA mask which is great. It was a beauty box sample so am stocking up on vinted.

I have very dry skin, it isn’t just about moisturiser, its about what cleanser and serums you use.

Moisturiser, quite a few work for me, nivea in the white pot, ole hendrikson in the purple, simple ceremide moisturiser, byoma and la roche posay.

But I also use cleaners that support my skin barrier and a hydrating serum, a moisturiser alone isn’t enough for a lot of people.

Try mixing a couple of drops of oil into your moisturiser. A moisturiser alone is not enough.

I like embyolisse moisturiser, it’s really rich and lovely. I have also tried “slugging” with Vaseline which sounds really heavy but honestly leaves my skin lovely.

Thanks for all the advice and suggestions. Have ordered the one from the Amazon link to try that a few of you have recommended and will look into other skin care products too.

La roche posay is something which I recommend. So here is my routine that I follow with that:
Morning:
Using water to wash your face,
Sebamed clear face gel,
la roche posay spf
Evening:
la roche posay moisturizer,
Tretinoin (0.1) from skinorac
Sebamed clear facial gel

Astral can’t be beaten. I always go back to it. Nivea in the blue pot is also excellent.

Another one whose dry skin patches were cleared up by changing my cleansing routine not my moisturiser.

Cleansing routine is equally important like the moisturiser and other things
