Sezane Max shirt yay or nay

What do people think of the sezane Max shirt in Leo print which is basically leopard print? It's 100% silk and I've not worn silk in years. It's also very £££. I've been eyeing it for over a year and now leopard print is on trend, I'm thinking about it again.

Ahh does noone else wear oversized shirts with leggings or slim trousers as an alternative? I am petite so shirts usually drown me, but I quite like the proportions when worn with leggings/ fitted bottoms.

I think the large shirt with leggings look is quite a late 80s/early 90s vibe. Leggings are now firmly in the athleisure category - fine to wear but usually with coordinating Lycra top.

Cigarette trousers could be chic but still not very 'current' - now it would be with wider legged or barrelled trousers, higher waist and tucked in (this looks awful on me and I generally avoid shirts!)

I like it give u said it will suit ur colouring (it wouldn’t mine) it’s a yay. Especially if it’s been on your wish list for a year.

I like to but I couldn't justify the price, if money were no object then yes and I'd wear it with some chunky gold jewellery, cream cigarette trousers and brown loafers

A definite no. For me, it’s the brown colour - it’s just not right somehow. It doesn’t look luxe or interesting, it just has a tone that manages to completely cheapen the shirt. Just a horrid orange tone to it.

if it was right, you’d have gone for it by now.

It's definitely this. That brown (which they have gone big on this season) is just wrong.

I really like it but like a previous poster I'm too busty for shirts.

I have the Max shirt in the stripes and it is very oversized. I can't even wear it tucked in as there's just too much fabric. I sized down too! I prefer the cut of their Tomboy shirt.

I have a shirt like this from & Other Stories. It’s not as long so looks good with high waisted jeans or trousers. It’s an almost identical print. Maybe have a look on Vinted?

That's an amazing find, it's my size also! I worry though about buying second hand online even though I'm sure it's fine

I mean I pretty much only buy secondhand online and haven’t had a bad experience yet (and also have a lovely wardrobe if I do say so myself!)

Love it

DeCaray · 02/09/2024 16:16

It's a bit vintage C&A which may be good or bad depending on your taste.

For me, it's a no.

I've got that Other Stories shirt, bought it years ago, good quality and I still wear it. Coincidentally I had the Sezane one in my basket too but haven't pushed the button yet. I am happy to pay more for silk but the delivery charges for Sezane put me off a bit, they are very high for already expensive clothes

I order more items (or duplicate for sizing because Sezane can be tricky) for free shipping. Returns are free too.

I believe with sezane, if your total orders amount to a certain figure you get free delivery as a valued customer. I have free delivery with no minimum spend which makes buying from them even more tempting!
