It is a hybrid high-heel sneaker, retailing for 395 to 595 apparently

No, thank you.

Absolutely hideous. And pointless.
The point of a trainer/sneaker is to be comfortable and active.
The point of heels is to be sexy (? dunno, never wear them.)
The two just don't mix.

Ten times worse than mixing denim with lace or silk.

WavesAndSmile · 31/08/2024 10:28

It’s not for me as I spend my life chasing young kids around muddy fields but I suspect it could look great on someone far cooler than I will ever be.

Oldraver · 31/08/2024 10:40

Another vote for hideous though I do have a pair of blue and pink sequin Ruby Shoes

Neverstophoping · 31/08/2024 10:45

Well I remember the 1960s song Put on your high heeled sneakers" ( by Tommy Tucker). There were pictures around then of similar shoes to these " sneex" though I never saw a pair in real life. I think they my were an American thing that didn't take off in the UK.

I thought they were hideous then and my view point hasn't changed.

Bearpawk · 31/08/2024 12:49

😂😂😂 fucking hell

dudsville · 31/08/2024 12:53

I don't wear heels, and don't wear trainers outside of the gym. That said, I think these look great!

Razorshaft12345 · 31/08/2024 12:55

They are not bad, at first I thought wtf but at least it saves choosing between sneakers and heels lol😂

Whatabouterry · 31/08/2024 12:56

The woman who invented them is the founder of Spanx. She decided to develop comfy heels as her next project I believe (I follow her on Instagram). I wasn’t sure at first, but having seen them styled with a different outfits now I do quite like them. Wouldn’t spend that much money on them though!

mynameiscalypso · 31/08/2024 12:58

I'd be interested to try them to see if they are as comfy as she claims. But I can't think of a single occasion when I would wear them.

TuesdayWhistler · 31/08/2024 13:01

I actually didn't mind wedge heels trainers, I even had a pair once. Somewhere around 98/99 🤔

But I don't like the 'sneex'

Yep, me too!

But no. These are vile!

Razorshaft12345 · 31/08/2024 13:12

Behave, they not too bad, if someone bought me them 😂

DancingPhantomsOnTheTerrace · 31/08/2024 13:21

Fair enough trying to develop comfy heels (although there are plenty already). But why do they need to look like a trainer?

Whether you like heels or not, I'd say that generally the people wearing them are doing so because they think they look smarter than flats, and they like that about them. Who wants a casual stiletto? Where would you wear that?

GrimDamnFanjo · 31/08/2024 13:27

My ankles have flinched. Imagine going over in those.

Pattyjv1 · 02/02/2025 12:30

These shoes look like the vintage skechers. Stole the style

Stole the style from vintage skechers

I get these might not be for everyone...but they sure are for me. I obsessed over them the minute I saw them. Then I ordered a pair, and I was blown away by how comfortable they are...albeit they are still 3" heels. But I returned them because I just couldn't stomach the price. But then I spent the next 6 months regretting that i had done that. By then the new colors were introduced, and so I insanely ordered TWO pair. Nuts, I know! Especially since I have two young girls to chase around. For me they are fun to build an outfit around...and they aren't white sneakers, black loafers, and all the usual. Judging by the comments I get every time I wear them, there is no shortage of women who think similarly.
