Nice work from home clothes to see me through Autumn and Winter - that are comfortable but not slobby? That I can wear on the school run?
TIA?

I’m planning on getting a couple of these Uniqlo knitted trousers and then will layer one or two layers of merino under a chunkier wool jumper/cardigan/slipover depending on how cold my house is. Considering this wool fleece as a top layer option too.

UNIQLO

I’ve got a few of these sets. Mostly I just wear the trousers with a tshirt or jumper.

I also have straight leg drawstring joggers from New Look which are quite cozy/fleecy on the inside. I haven’t worn them yet but they’ll be nice for colder months.

Oh I like those Uniqlo trousers! I generally wear black leggings, a thermal t shirt and then a smart jumper on top. If I need to look fancy for a call, I have some of those fake shirt collars from Amazon that look pretty realistic but means I don't actually have to bother with a proper shirt.

Link to the fake shirt collars? Love that idea!

@arewegoingtosaintmalo This is my favourite but I also have some plain shirt ones too

Like the trousers! How are they for sizing?

arewegoingtosaintmalo · 28/08/2024 20:29

I followed the measurements on the size chart, I generally find Uniqlo trousers quite slim fitting - need an L for a pear shaped size 12.

Thursdaygirl · 28/08/2024 20:46

I think I will be in gym wear again this autumn/winter, when WFH. It’s easy to layer and means I’m more likely to actually visit the gym at lunch time or after work!

Henleylady · 28/08/2024 23:09

The amazon buttery high waist leggings are my go to. So comfy.

xxSideshowAuntSallyxx · 29/08/2024 07:11

I wear what I usually wear which is jeans and a jumper.

newrubylane · 29/08/2024 09:40

M&S cord leggings and oversized jumpers for me.

I saw these in store last week and was very tempted, then immediately thought of them too when I saw OP’s post!

It must be destiny, I’m going to order some now 😉

PompomDahlia · 29/08/2024 17:41

I like the M&S jersey wide leg trousers - smart but really comfy. I have them in black and navy and wear with a Uniqlo merino wool jumper layered over a vest top

CappuccinoChocolate · 29/08/2024 23:06

I like long ribbed dresses ...so comfy and a naice cardi on top. Goes well with trainers or boots. I bought a lovely ivory oversized wool one from TopShop last year still looks good.

Sounds vaguely stylish but my alternative is leggings and a fluffy eyelash jumper...even though they are synthetic they are so very cosy and warm. Primark usually do them and you can get Christmas themed ones lol.

theDudesmummy · 30/08/2024 08:39

Oh those trousers look nice, have ordered some. I usually wear Diesel sweatpants but they are quite thick.

mommatoone · 30/08/2024 10:15

Tesco (f&f) have some lovely co- ord sets in at the minute. Like sweatshirts & wide leg trousers. Comfortable but stylish.

GameOfJones · 30/08/2024 18:20

M&S do some really cosy fleece lined leggings. I wear them all the time in Autumn and Winter with t shirts and oversized jumpers. Very warm and comfortable but easy to stick a pair of trainers or boots on and head out the door.

PrincessofWells · 30/08/2024 21:53

I like Uniqlo merino fitted turtlenecks, warm and easy to style up, or down.

ChangeTheProphecy · 31/08/2024 06:27

I usually wear jeans and a jumper, I don’t dress any differently for working from home than if I’m just having a day in the house. I do tend to get cold though so love a cashmere roll neck and a pair of warm socks!

LaSourciereEfrontee · 31/08/2024 10:05

I get freezing when I’m working from home in winter. Our house is old, but not that cold. It’s just the lack of movement I think.

So I’ll be wearing fleece lined leggings, a ski base layer (M and S do great ones), an old cashmere sweater (a huge, holey one, used to belong to DH) and my Turtle Doves.

I do change before I leave the house!

VictoryOrDeath · 31/08/2024 11:39

I tend to feel the cold, so I've got short Ugg boots that I wear as slippers, leg warmers, and a cashmere neck warmer 😄.
