Hair disaster - colour gone dark

After returning from a sun holiday, my highlighted hair was brassy and in need of toning. As i'm 3 weeks away from my next hair appointment i purchased Glaze Super Gloss Colour Conditioning Hair Gloss described as a Tinted Moisturiser for Warm Brown Hair
I left it on a bit longer than i should've, and now im much darker than id like. Like brown dark. I wouldve been light golden brown origionally.

Anyone any advice? Website tells me it washes out in 10 washes but i see it is a semi permanent! Do i keep washing and hope it tones down over next few days or is there an quicker solution?

I was told to try washing up liquid, but if your hair is in poor condition I would make sure you use a conditioning mask afterwards, or you could try head and shoulders as that used to strip the colour out your hair. Not sure if it still does.

Make sure you tell your hairdresser what you have used as that could impact the next lot of colour that goes on your hair.

When my hair was a bit brassy I would just use a purple shampoo, leave on for a max of 2 mins and rinse. That usually toned down the yellow.

Try the green fairy washing up liquid a couple of times

I wouldnt try more than twice though will really dry your hair eventually

just an update, washed the hair in washing up liquid twice last night and then went in with the purple mask, to condition it as much as anything. Washed it again in the shower this morning and there is slight improvement. Im going to keep washing it and hope that it will lighten. Its only supposed to last 10 to 20 washes so hopefully it will fade.

Dreading the hairdressers and fessing up to my attempts at DIY!
