Paying off debts ATM before my mortgage increase so am not buying but would love to indulge my love of Vinted vicariously.

I recently bought a Knomo backpack for work for £12. Its robust and stylish. A little tight size wise but not complaining for the price.

Have sold a lot of Boden, Fat Face etc. I also discovered the boost feature. Although it costs £1 I've just sold some jeans using it.

What have you bought that you love?

Any of my Joanie buys. I love the brand but its too expensive for me usually.
I have so many nice dresses from them now thanks to Vinted!
Cheapest (worn but as new) was £3 and I have several BNWT for under £15.
One of the first things I bought was an oversized Joanie cardigan in a cream with a fern pattern all over and Ive lived in it ever since!😄

I love Vinted for finding good quality stuff for the price of fast fashion, so far my best buys have been a Whistles leather bag for £30, Community clothing linen shirt for a tenner, and Autograph cashmere sweater for £30. You can set it up to follow labels you like, and save searches if you’re stalking a particular thing. Big fan!

Summerhillsquare · 28/08/2024 14:51

Have just bought Massimo Dutti cashmere sweater for £10, and French Connection wool coat for £11! Not arrived yet though...

My £3 heated rollers probably.

Replacement White Stuff cardigan for £4. It's got a button missing but I cut all the buttons off the original so easy to replace. I always get compliments about the outfit so was gutted when I had to throw out the cardigan.

Ooh these are fab.
@henlake7
£3 for a dress is awesome
Ooh I think I need to set up a search for cashmere. I've bought a few of the M&S supersoft jumpers on there. Coats seem to get worse quality so the old ones are often better too. That's great you can spot a fake @Normallynumb ! What are the signs?

One disaster was a courier who tried to deliver something and eventually I left it too late to collect or get a refund. No idea where those leggings went.

I bought a dress earlier in the week and it had been styled with a cute braided bag from Mango, I wanted to copy the look but the bag is sold out everywhere, looked on Vinted a couple of days ago, nothing there.

Searched again today and there it is brand new for £20! Snapped it up!

Changingplace · 28/08/2024 16:42

I’ve just ordered an M&S long wool charcoal grey coat with fur, I’ve been after a classic smart coat for ages - £10, just hope it’s ok when it arrives!

Normallynumb · 28/08/2024 17:20

The signs of a fake are
Slightly off Mac lettering Dull inside case
End label blurred or wrong letter Most Lipsticks are made in Canada
If lots of the same brands are on Sellers page.
If in doubt I don't buy.

I love Vinted - get nearly all my clothes from there now, in brands I could never afford new. But I really, really love hunting for something specific and obscure and finding it!

My favourite was a M&S pj set (to replace one I'd bought in a sale years ago). They were the perfect pyjamas, but they finally wore out and I'd never found any I liked as much!

Hopefully the second set will last as long at the first as they weren't easy to search for 🤣

TheLeadbetterLife · 28/08/2024 18:59

I love Vinted, I also use it to buy things that would otherwise blow my budget, or quality vintage pieces.

My best buys to date:

Italian silk pyjamas and matching peignoir - brand new
Black silk tuxedo jacket
Vivienne Westwood gold label tweed jacket, from 2006 runway collection
Sezane cotton Pierro shirt, black with parrot print
90s wool pencil skirts from Escada and Burberry
Alain Figaret silk shirt, red with a dressing table theme print - perfume bottles, sunglasses and cigarettes (so French...)
Brand new charentaise slippers, in navy herringbone

I've currently got my eye on various things from Farm Rio...

I am new to the vinted party but I love it! My best purchases have been a Massimo Dutti cardigan you cant get anymore as its old stock. I love them and always look for them in charity shops and on ebay. Found one on vinted for £12!!!

A polo sport over sized hoodie I will wear to watch ds play football. Got it for £20 and its soooo comfortable.

I have just started selling so if anyone is on the market for great quality Scandi coats for kids give me a shout and I will PM the listings. Selling Didriksson, Polarn O Pyret, Tenson etc.

Buffyj · 28/08/2024 19:31

I've recently discovered they also do household items. I got a BNWT sheepskin rug from Cox & Cox for £8. I know it's not exactly Style & Beauty but it looks amazing.

ladygindiva · 28/08/2024 19:36

Earlier in the summer I bought two long sleeved cotton maxi dresses, beautiful patterned fabric, from next, for £4! For the both! I've lived in them all summer and they've drawn compliments from strangers.

DelilahBucket · 28/08/2024 19:38

A dark green sequin Coast dress. I paid £15 for it including delivery and it was immaculate. Was over the moon with that one!

GreenPoppy · 28/08/2024 19:58

A pair of Swedish Hasbeens, didn't want to risk full price as have heard they are uncomfortable, but they are great.

EspanaPorfavor · 29/08/2024 06:36

I lost a lot of weight so it’s been great. Levi’s for £15, a gorgeous massimo Dutti dress (the one Madeline swan wears in the last bond film!), an amazing pinko blazer, cos leather leggings…
