How much should I expect to pay for a MUA ?

And would you bother in my situation?

I barely wear make up, mostly because when I do it I end up looking like a clown, or think it do, and take it all off, so it would have to be something very light and natural, but would be done up for me iyswim.

I've been invited as a plus one to a formal do. I'd like to look good, am pleased with my dress, but is professional make up a bit OTT? Would someone who sees make up as an important part of life ba able to comprehend just how light it needs to be for me? And if it's that light touch, is there any point?

Is it worth going to a make up counter to do a test to see if you like it first? They will help you with foundation shades and talk through how you can do your make up..or you could just go back to them on the day!

Sorry also to say MUA very in price, I think mine for my wedding was £150.

I've only ever paid around £30 for make up for an event.

Bridal make up is ££££ - like anything wedding related!!

I get my special occasion / party make up done by a great MUA locally for £40 including lashes.

I'd say do it! It makes me feel great when I have mine done.
