Khaki midi dress or other suggestions

Can anyone help? I’m looking for a khaki or olive dress, probably midi length. It’s for a day event. I read that khaki is one of the autumn colours this year and, luckily, it suits me.

It’s a school reunion, to give you an idea. I’m also open to other suggestions, dress or trousers. Size 12, 5’ 7”. Budget up to £150. Not shirt-dressy or pocketty, so it doesn’t look military, unless it’s in a different colour. Thank you.

Honestly this dress has been life changing for me!! It is Shein though and I know some people avoid them. They are super flattering.

i like this one, for example, but I don’t know if it’s not too heavy as fabric, and maybe boring. How would you style it?

I am a smidge over 5'8 and have worn this Jigsaw dress to death this summer. It's a midi length on me. And it's much nicer on than in the dreadful pictures.

If you have even a modicum of social conscience, please don't buy from Shein.

@LoneHydrangea is it true to size? There’s a 10 and a 14, I’m a 12. Does it crinkle, and how do you style it? I’m a bit lost atm :)

I am a 12 and it's a tad big on me. I tend to wear it with a brown leather belt and brown leather clog-type sandals. But I have worn it with flatform trainers and black DM gladiator sandals too.

@LoneHydrangea thanks for that. I’ll try a 10, as soon as I get a refund for something else I sent back (a white trouser suit, alas too big and flappy around the ankles). The event is in 4 weeks’ time, so I still have some time to get organised. I think I have the evening clothes, just the day time I’m not sure.

Not midi but their dresses are v flattering in my experience

@guiling the colour is right but the fabric seems quite thin, or needs to be dressier. I’ve been to a school reunion once before and it was quite formal during the day, then proper party in the evening.

Why does Shein and Temu always come up first when you do some random search?! They scrimp on wages but have a shit hot search engine bod. I don’t know how these things work but it’s mega-irritating.

I'd be tempted to wear with toffee coloured shoes and a white clutch (although gold is probably a safer option)
