I think I have found the perfect bra

Well, for me. As I am aware that everyone is different.

My criteria is:
non wired
stretchy band without back clasp (I am always very aware of the clasp when I wear one)
padded but not removable ones as they often don’t sit right and if you accidentally leave one in end up all scrunched up
Still give reasonable support and shape.

Anyway, it has been a long frustrating and often costly search but I finally found a bra I am happy with so I thought I would share it in case anyone else is fussy in the same way as me.

This is always the problem with bras like this that get praised for comfort. They always do an equivalent of large chest size / fairly large cups, but never an equivalent of smaller chest but very large cup. And it's extremely hard to find examples of the latter that are both supportive and comfortable.

Yes we really struggle to find something for DD who is a 30 FF or G depending on bra. And tbh imo many many women are a smaller back size than they think, if we all actually wore the correct back manufacturers would have to make the correct smaller sizes.

I’m not sure what you mean with this - can you explain?

Looking at the picture there is boob outside the cup along the side by her arm. we busties need full boob coverage/support at side!

Sounds great and ideal for you OP. I'm still searching for my ideal bra. At the moment it's one I have which is a non wired non padded Calvin Klein stretch bra with usual back hooks & almost transparent. The XL is still quite small in this make considering I am a 38D. I don't need wires or uplift. If anyone knows of a similar bra to my Calvin klein but a bit bigger please share.

itsnotmeitsu · 23/08/2024 13:35

@Midlifecareerchange > I bought reusable (washable) bra pads for a boost in t-shirt bras/camisoles, but they'd also solve your problem.

Exactly!! Anyone know of a bra. Unwired , large cups , wide straps that are adjustable, wide under support which is also adjustable?

Arhh I see. I’m around a DD so not too big and it provides full coverage.

Coincidentally I bought one of these only last week and agree with you, it’s like I’ve found the bra holy grail! However, I am small of bust (B cup) so appreciate that this bra might not work for those who are blessed in the nork department.

@Kipperthedawg please could you link to the Bella Bodies bra you like? Thank you ☺️

These ones but there are also ones with adjustable backs in a similar style

Boodys women's briefs are the briefs I have been searching for my entire (long) life. I have been wearing then for about seven years and they just don't seem to wear out. So comfortable.

I used to wear a bra, not really because I needed to, but because I thought social niceties demanded it. Now I don't care, and only wear one these days if going to the doctor, physio, etc, but do have some of Boodys that I use when proprietary demands it.

A comfy bra is a treasure, glad you found one op! Like a pp above, i haven't worn proper bras since lockdown. My current favourite is similar to yours, it's the sloggi zero feel one with the weird looking straps, I barely feel it.

Looks good - but usually I find cropped tops to be loose on the band when they fit on the bust. How stretchy are these?

Wow- that’s so expensive, it doesn’t look anything special

I'm showing my age here, but those briefs remind me of wearing a sanitary towel belt, back in the 1960s (ugh!).

Or, in more modern times, putting on a pair of cheapo cotton bikini briefs & finding the top elastic parting company from the body of the garment, usually starting at the sides.

Is this a known style? I've never seen any like it before, but then I'm still opening multi-packs of undies I bulk bought years ago when I finally found something I liked.

HolidayAtNight · 24/08/2024 22:13

Mine is the Panache Clara! It is wired but I find it extremely comfortable. No padding but it's nicely shaped.

It's ok, I'm in a M at a size 10-12. They suggest going up if unsure of sizing. They do have a band with clasps like a normal bra though too.

learieonthewildmoor · 26/08/2024 07:59

I just got mine today, it is great. No mono- boob. I should have ordered a larger size for a perfect fit. It is very very comfortable. The sewn in cups give a nice shape. Pretty good for a wire free crop top.
