A robe that won’t make me look/feel like a potato

Just that really 😂
For context I’m pregnant, high risk and likely to be back and forth to hospital and a fair bit of forced rest at home. I will of course be making an effort to dress and feel human but in the mornings I’d like a nice robe that is cosy/warm but also looks grown up and not too bulky. Also something I can pack for any hospital overnights.

I was gifted a robe at christmas but it’s one of those fluffy ones that is warm but frankly makes me look more massive than I am and makes my un-bra’d boobs look super duper sad 😔.
I appreciated the thought but I just don’t feel very good in it.

I’d love something I wouldn’t freeze in (love the look of those kimono/silk types but waaay too thin), or feel embarrassed opening the door in and comfy enough to sit in and read a book in.

Does this unicorn robe exist…?
(oh yeah and reasonably priced ideally 😬😬😬)

Thank you in advance lovely MNs 😘

Oooh and bonus if it washes well too! (I know, I know, asking for the moon 😅)

How about one of these? Maybe not the tiniest thing to pack but lovely to wear at home. Also not the cheapest dressing gown around but definitely worth the price and won’t look like nightwear:

@IWantedThereThereButItsGone wow this looks gorgeous! 😍
This would be in the running but it’s definitely out of my price range 😔
When that lottery win comes in though… ✨

Well … People who are fond of you are bound to ask if there’s anything you want or need over the next few months …

I have a Cyberjammies dressing gown and love it. It washes well, too.

Mine’s one of the jersey ones (navy with white piping) but there are loads more options and some lovely colours now.

Ooh there’s some really lovely styles there, thank you!

I have this one, a cross between pretty and functional and it is very comfortable, with enough fabric to wrap round. https://www.seasaltcornwall.com/hushing-fluffy-recycled-polyester-gown
