If you're a size 18 / 20 what dress would you choose for a September wedding?

What colours do you suit?

VanellopeVonSchweetz99 · 21/08/2024 11:47

I love dresses and when I was size 18/20 I found some gems at Roman and Dorothy Perkins. But it's really hit and miss with the quality of the fabrics.

raspberryberet7 · 21/08/2024 11:52

Try hope and ivy they have some beautiful dresses

00BonneMaman00 · 21/08/2024 12:12

Any colour just not all black or white.
Really not keen on Roman.
Something nice, flattering, not overly "weddingy" so I can wear again

I got a full length pleated purple/red ombre Phase Eight dress for the last September wedding i went to. It had no sleeves so i wore a bolero over it.

What's your budget? And how glam do you need to go? I'm good at nice (I think), and colourful, but glam is not my thing. Happy to suggest nice and colourful types of things!

They are, but they’re very long!

That link is a next advert, not a dress!

I got a nice one from this website, and bought a petticoat on another website so the bottom of the dress really flares out

These are beautiful! Thanks so much ❤️

I love these, elegant and simple but a good range of colours - only downsize is that 20 is the smallest so may be too big if you're more 18 to 20. I'm not necessarily suggesting the pink...that colour just comes up on image link.
Could be dressed up with different jewellery.

Edited

Bit bridesmaidy for me. But lovely colours.
