Will my hairdresser be annoyed with me?

I get my hair highlighted at the salon, from being naturally brunette.

I accidentally dyed my hair blue recently and it hasn’t washed out. I received a gift with purchase of a temporary colour that said it washes out after a wash, so thought I’d try it…but it has remained in my hair! It’s been around 3 weeks and at least a dozen hair washes. I have been washing my hair daily this week but there’s still a bit of green tinge around my face/mid section of hair.

Will this be easy or difficult for my hairdresser to sort?

I’m booked in at the salon next week anyway for a balayage. Would I need to pay extra to get this sorted?

your hair so its up to you what you do. I would think to sort it out you would have to pay extra as it will probably need stripping back before re colouring it. prob best to pop in or give them a ring beforehand as you may need extra time

Mine would laugh 🤣

Blue is the hardest colour to remove from hair, you would most likely need a colour correction on the areas where the colour remains before the stylist can do your regular balayage. Def ring up as soon as possible to let them know as they may need to make more time for you

Temporary dye is not temporary on bleached hair I am afraid.

Ahh thanks everyone. I am booked in for highlights anyway as part of the balayage. Here’s a photo of what it looked like last week 😥

Would your hairdresser be annoyed? It’s a similar situation to not giving up on reading a book, even though you don’t like it!

You are not at school and you pay your hairdresser to do her job. In the meantime, enjoy the blue. At the ripe old age of 40 something, l’ve often thought about it.

Why would you worry about annoying your hairdresser?? You pay them to sort your hair out, it’s literally their job.
