Saw these on an Instagram post earlier and fell in love but they are too expensive. Can any of you lovely lot find me something similar and cheaper? Thanks for any leads!

They are by Sean Leane so you would expect to pay more. Other brands won’t have the name.

Do you think it's worth paying for the Shaun Leane ones? Haven't seen his jewellery in real life so don't.know what the quality is.like.

The quality will be excellent but it depends what you want them for.

You are paying extra for a famous name.

Similar to buying a leather bag by unknown maker or by Mulberry.

Is the extra money worth it to you?

I'd love to pay for the shaun leane ones but funds won't allow especially with the regularity that I lose earrings!

@crochetmonkey74 Ive found decent makers have decent secure fastenings. I cannot remember losing an earring! It’s worth paying to have better weight and security.

Buy the originals - they are worth it! I am good at losing earrings but these are very firmly attached together. I had a good look myself for dupes but nothing else came close.

I have those earrings too, but bought when considerably cheaper. They are very well made and comfortable to wear. I haven’t seen anything similar. Maybe preloved or eBay?

Then you go without unfortunately.

There are many things I would love but I don’t have because I can’t afford them. People are prepared to buy Monica Vinader at their ridiculous prices which is pretty unexciting jewellery but not pay for styles that are truly original.

Buying cheap knock offs is unfair to the original designer. I don’t sell my work online anymore after being copied.

@LadyPoison Well designed original jewellery is not cheap. High street plated jewellery is. One is designed for a long life, one isn’t. Some designs don’t suit everyone. I prefer Annoushka. Others prefer Sean Lean. Each to our own views on style but well made and secure earrings are what we can agree on!

Oh my word, two minutes ago I didn't know Fabergé egg pendants existed and now thinking how lovely it would be to have a little green sparkling pendant hiding a tiny octopus! Adds 'lottery ticket' to shopping list...

But the poster has asked for cheaper alternatives as she doesn't have the funds to get the expensive ones. So telling her to buy them is pointless and unhelpful.

Right, I've seen them in person and tried them on and the smaller size is the right size for me. The stockist I went to only had the small in the darker oxidised ailver and I'd want the brighter silver tone. But I didn't feel that they felt secure enough for me. I'll keep investigating.
