How long between salon hair colour v home colour and vice versa?

Had hair salon coloured three months ago. Can I home colour it now (skint!) And if I do how long before I can get it salon coloured again (if I suddently come into money!)

Its all a mystery out there. Any hairdressers or knowledgable people who can tell me whats what?

Why do you have to wait between the two?

I usually colour my hair once a month, at home or in a salon depending on my mood, never have a problem.

I think you only have to wait if you use3 one of the 'natural' dyes, then it's about 6 weeks iirc.

I dyed mine 4 times last with with various permanent dyes - just cant make up my mind!. Looks like something has been slaughtered in my bath.

Thats good then. I thought there was some interaction or maybe its just my hairdressers being snooty about it! It is always a play off between expense and mess! I know what you mean about the bath monkeybutler(whole bathroom in fact!)
