Longer length shorts for sports/gym?

I'm looking for shorts that are at least mid-thigh length and loose/baggy i.e. not cycling shorts style. At least 7 or 8 inch inseam. Flexible on fabric, but prefer elasticated or drawstring waist. Budget - ideally not Lululemon full price level, but I'm getting desperate! Does anyone have any ideas before I give in and try the men's department.

It sounds like men's basketball shorts would fit the bill perfectly!

I wear these, elasticated waist and not shown is inside there is a slot at the front where you can see the thin elastic band if you needed to pull it in more. They also have knickers inside too. Best thing I have bought in ages and £20.

Ronhill do some great 7 inch women's shorts. I hate short shorts especially when the waistband rides up and the Ronhill ones are great.

I wear the shirts that are cycle shirts with running toe shirts attached.

I got mine from sainburys. Lasted ages, wash well, are very comfy and a nice length (I'm tall!)

Thanks all! The Ronhill look like the most likely candidate for now, but I'm not ruling out any of the others yet.
