Emergency! Men’s black linen trousers by Wednesday

DH has to attend a funeral.

The dress code is black. The outfit dies not have to be formal. He would like to wear black linen trousers. 36 waist but a long leg. Probably, he never buys clothes. He needs them tomorrow or Wednesday and no time to shop.

I have looked at John Lewis, M&S, uniqlo and H&M but because there are sales on there isn’t anything in his size.

I have one pair of trousers from Next in my basket which may do. If this is the only option I’ll see if I can get them delivered to store for tomorrow.

In London as that may help.

Are there any other options I’ve forgotten about?

He’s 38 waist!

How about Zara?

Amazon? They have loads. Hard to filter by length though if he needs x long

You can order lots of variations in sizes they’ll deliver tomorrow.

Ds is a 32/36. Had to order several sizes to get right one. But came fast and went back easily.

Thanks Arse. I thought Next would be the ones but they’ve nothing. The only linen trousers are narrow hemmed and he doesn’t want that.

Ordered some on Prime as they’re cheap enough to take a punt on them probably being wrong.

He has found a pair on ASOS for next day delivery.

What about Matalan or M&S. you can probably pay extra for next day delivery

Nothing in M&S or JL because of the sale.

Have got some v expensive black chinos from Next coming in a 36 and 38 both with a long leg. Not what he initially thought he wanted but will fit the dress code and weather .

Sorted! Local Cos had some black cotton trousers. ASOS linen trousers have arrived and are ok. Zara trousers were too short but at least they arrived on time. Next trousers have arrived too but yet to try on.
I think sometimes it’s easier to think about the tangibles of clothes and trains rather than the awful sadness .
