What do you wear? How do you NOT look like a soggy sweaty mess?

Commuting by tube is revolting and the office is like an oven.

Loving the heat but sweating like a 🐷!

Long loosish simple linen dresses ironed with some starch. They are all I can stand at the moment.

I've been wearing a lot of high waisted wide leg thin summer trousers with a nice high neck vest or fitted tee tucked in. Looks effortless and is cool in the heat

Sadly I've put on a heap of weight (healthy related but still... and everything is uncomfortable! I've also busted my knee so have a brace on. So fed up being uncomfortable!

Trousers are more comfy as they cover my chafing thighs and hide my brace (not that I'm bothered who sees it).

Holiday was brilliant - shirts and t-shirt!

I’m wearing midi or knee length black linen dresses, loose but with a waist. Or long, loose linen blend pants with tucked in t-shirts or blouses. Always sandals.

Although today I’m getting out the Heatwave Dress. It’s a black, loose, light cotton maxi dress with short sleeves that I normally reserve for my mum’s garden in Provence, if I visit during ‘la canicule.’ No bra, pants optional.

I'm melting today! I have the windows open and the fan on full blast but it's just moving the hot, dirty, sticky air around.

I was in 47* last week - ok it was bloody hot but I was ok in that! 🥵

Pure linen items and triple dry antiperspirant twice a day.

Papyrophile · 12/08/2024 17:18

Thin cottons, light linens and nothing very fitted.

BatshitCrazyWoman · 12/08/2024 17:19

No idea. It's fucking vile in central London/the tube/the office (no air con)/the train I'm currently sitting on (no air con).

I'm spending the rest of my journey fantasising about my cool house (outskirts of London on a hill, so always cooler) and a shower.

I'm wearing a navy blue linen dress, but if the tube is practically 40° it makes no difference. Very humid and airless.

A sleeveless Uniqlo Airism dress with a light cotton shirt open over it.

Get some Snag chub rub shorts if you're suffering from chafing tights.
