Hello!

I’m getting married next weekend and am looking to purchase a handheld steamer to steam my dress and my bridesmaids’ dresses the night before.

Just wondering if anyone on here has any recommendations?

Thanks in advance :)

I used my steam generator iron in a vertical position to steam dil’s dress and bridesmaid’s dresses. Worked fine.

I bought a Tefal travel one a couple of weeks ago and it does a good job on cotton and linen.

I have a normal Tefal and it’s great. It has a lock button, so steam keeps coming rather than you have to press button like a hairdryer.

You can get lovely ironing water to make them smell nice too. Be careful with satin fabric type that may stain if a drop of water lands - definitely practice on some other items.

Just came across the thread. Did you manage to get a steamer and how was it on the day? I need one for our wedding in 4 weeks. To take to a hotel. For mine and 2 bridesmaid dresses. Any advice appreciated. Hope you had a wonderful wedding day!
