I absolutely love fashion but I hate shopping which puts me in a bit of a stalemate. I'm so bored of my wardrobe as I just end up wearing jeans all the time. I'd really like to curate a capsule(ish) wardrobe of great hard working fashion pieces with the odd bit of frivolous fun, buy less and spend a little more. But every time I look on a shops website I get overwhelmed by the amount of stuff on there and either end up buying too much stuff I never end up wearing, or I give up before i get to the bottom of the page. I've tried a stylist but couldn't find anyone who really got my style. So I'm thinking I need to find a very small number of great influencers to follow and I'm looking for some recommendations.
I'm mid 40's, but I hate all the 'over 40's style' type bloggers I've found as they just seem too middle aged. I'm slim and fit and look younger than I am, and my style is a lot younger than you seem to get on most of those kinds of blogs (of what I've managed to find anyway). I don't really like instagram so I need whoever I follow to really be bang on with what I like.
To give some perspective, one blog I like is wearsmymoney, and my favourite shops are Sezane, Maje and Isabel Marant. I'm somewhere between boyish minimalism, 70's wide legs and French girl in style- very clean, and quite practical. I have a mid level budget, so more like whistles and mint velvet than full on designer, and I'm happy to buy high street.
So any suggestions please? Definitely prefer to read a weekly blog post than constantly be checking insta, so if they do that, it's a big bonus.
Thank you!
