Lucky you. What height/shape/colouring are you?

Are you in the Royal Enclosure or mixing with the proletariat? This dictates what you can wear, apparently.

About 5'7, size 12, legs are alright so not averse to getting them out..brown hair..
No such luck as getting in the Royal enclosure-will be with the normals

Hello Scoot

Not sure what sort of things you like but there are some gorgeous dresses out there at the mo. I went to Ascot last year and wore black and white (along with almost everyone else there) so might be worth avoiding this year if you want to look a bit different.

Have linked a couple of dresses - let me know if you like any and I can look for hat/shoes etc

classy

lovely colour

red

a bit julia roberts at polo match

lovely in rl

brighten up with some bright accessories

Let me know what you think

I'd vote for one and three for the races. Number one is my favourite - I can really picture it with a huge hat. The colours are lovely and it doesn't show off too much flesh, but is subtly sexy.

I know Patsy - I love that dress so much and just have no plans to go anywhere where I could wear it . I'm tempted to just buy it anyway

Scoot - if you like the first one - a few bits and bobs which might go with it

hat

shoes in purple

shoe in purple again

bag

shrug

another shrug

You're going to tell me you hate that first dress now aren't you ?

scootermum · 15/04/2008 12:09

No!Love it!
I did like one of the maxi dresses as well..but am not sure could carry it off!

You are the consumate style advisor Tilly! You should do it for a job!

Glad you like it

I'm the same height as you (albeit my size 12 days are long gone ) and maxi dresses work really well. Not sure about at Ascot though.. it was quite muddy last year and a long dress might end up splattered in mud. A chunkier heel or wedge shoe might be better for the same reason

ooh - getting paid for spending someone else's money. Perfect
