Would you be happy with this blow dry?

Had my hair coloured and finished with a blow dry
There's no life in it
It's moulded to the shape of my head so looks like I have a rectangle shaped head
Does anyone know what I mean ?
What do you think ?

When was it done? It's been very humid this week - I defy anyone to keep "life" in their hair for more than 10mins.

I see what you mean - they haven't added any bounce or volume to it.
I often used to get in from the hairdressers and re-wash it and dry it how I like it. Kind of stopped going because of that.

I had exactly the same today, my stylist is fantastic but I don't like the way she blow dries my hair, it looks like someone else's hair plonked on my head 😂

Well you clearly have lovely hair but no, you don't look like you've just been to the hairdresser and had a blow dry. It still looks nice though, just more as if you've done it yourself casually.

I think a blow dry is a very personal thing. Some people like them very sleek, other people like them with more bounce. Unless you've gone to a hairdresser you see regularly who knows how you like it done, or you've been very very explicit about the fact that you wanted as much root lift as possible and it's completely limp, often I think it's just a communication issue. I wouldn't be too bothered about this unless I'd paid for a standalone blow dry for a special occasion. If it was just to finish off a cut/colour I'd reserve judgement until I'd washed and styled it myself.

Also, as a PP said, it's very very humid at the moment.

It looks okay towards the bottom, but she hasn't added any shape or volume to the top half. No op, I wouldn't be happy with that, I'd end up redoing it myself. It still looks nice, but not what I'd expect from a professional.

I think it looks nice? But yep humidity is not great for nice hair 😖
My hairdresser sometimes does mine too bouncy with a big old bouncy bit on the top of my head. I think it’s very personal really.

You have very beautiful hair but I wouldn’t be happy with that blow dry.

Did you pay for it? If so I would be asking for a refund. If it's just part of the service fair enough, it's very humid, nothing is going to last.

You can't win! They either do it flat, or a style that would rival Dolly Parton!

I really like it, but I prefer a more casual/undone look. I like the cuts from my hairdresser, but the blowdries are always too Farrah Fawcett for me.

Looks like shit, I could do that myself at home and I'm rubbish at hair.

When I leave the hairdressers my hair looks like it could walk the red carpet (the rest of me not so much 😂)

You're paying them to make you look and feel good, and if you don't feel that way they haven't done their job.

I have a home hairdresser who does the colour and cut and leaves me to blow dry my own hair because I never like how they dry it especially if it is for a special occasion. It’s very difficult to keep a blow dry at the moment - it is far too humid.

It doesn't look the best, I'd expect a bit more volume and 'bouncier' curls, they look a bit lank at the ends. It doesn't look bad but it doesn't look freshly washed and blow dried, looks more like a couple of days from a blow dry.
