Do my highlights look stupid ? (Pic included )

I'm naturally dark brown
I get highlights ,but I just feel like she never does enough on my roots to cover the brown.
They always look really thin
Is this how they are meant to look?
Really thin at the root ?

Has she done a slight, high root smudge so your natural brown blends in? If she didn't make your highlights blend with your natural colour, your blonde would have a harsh line and would look really fake within two weeks. You'd have very high maintenance blonde that would need doing every 4 weeks

You could ask her to do a lighter root smudge that looks lighter overall but still blends in with your natural
