Do you trust online product reviews?

I thought I was a reasonably smart consumer, I always take Amazon reviews with a pinch of salt as I suspect many are paid for or bots. On trip advisor look at the 4 reviews rather than the 5 to get some balance.

However I generally trusted mid range clothing websites.

I recently wrote a couple of reviews on White Stuff for some sandals 4 and a dress 3. My 3* review was moderated and did not met their guidelines so they won’t publish it. This has irritated me and made me question does this happen everywhere? I don’t normally write reviews, there is no incentive to.

This was the review, hardly offensive unless they think the word boobs would make their customers blush.

Lovely print but shapeless
Print is absolutely lovely but the fit isn’t great if you have boobs and a waist. It looks a bit shapeless. I have kept it for working from home days as it is comfortable and looks good on teams calls.

I forgot that using stars makes the text bold. But hopefully you get the gist
