A hat which provides good protection from the sun but is also stylish and will stay on your head- does this exist?

What style? I need to wear a hat in the sun because I am very fair, and I favour a reasonably wide brim, sort of Panama styling. But I make sure it has a chinstrap, which you can tuck away when it's not needed, so that when it is windy (as it often is by the sea, where I need the sun protection most) it stays on. Chinstraps are not stylish I agree, but it's even less stylish to have to run after your errant hat!

You need a Tilley. https://uk.tilley.com/collections/best-sun-hats I've had mine for over twenty years, still looks new. Stays put in strong winds if you use the straps and you can keep a tenner for ice cream in the hidden pocket.

I swear by my leather cowboy hat. That, share and lippy and you're good to go, sun or rain! 😊😊

I have light skin and got a good one from Solbari. Some of theirs are a bit frumpy but they also have a couple of pretty ones.
