What are you using?

I'm still using one from Corn Silk, so years old and has just fallen apart in the wash.

I'm struggling to find one that's fluffy and soft, so, any recommendations please?

They sell them in Boots.

Yes I've seen them but they haven't really got good reviews and I was looking for something more 'fluffy'

Omg all you've done is make me miss corn silk all over again. Sob

twiddlingthumbs69 · 26/07/2024 20:30

@Ridingthegravytrain I know!!! I still can't believe it's gone! It was just the best. I'll be forever searching for a dupe. Closest I found was Coty air spun but it's still not the same.
Had I known I was going to disappear...........

What about the e.l.f. Halo Glow powder puff? I haven’t actually tried it but it gets good reviews and is reasonably priced.

Im 55 and used corn silk as a teen, no idea it was still going. I don't wear makeup now, so no help. Sorry 😐

Ridingthegravytrain · 26/07/2024 20:47

Coty air spun is my replacement too. But I use the term loosely. The sparkly silkiness can't be replicated. And a bargain price. If only I'd known too...

Moier · 26/07/2024 20:58

Use to love it..
Was made from walnut shells .

twiddlingthumbs69 · 26/07/2024 20:59

@Ridingthegravytrain so are you using the puff that came with the Coty?

I think we need a petition to bring back Corn Silk!

@Ridingthegravytrain sorry, just realised I don't think it came with a puff, if it did I can't find it 😢

I've got that Elf puff and it's not fluffy - more like cotton.

twiddlingthumbs69 · 26/07/2024 21:23

@Thisoldheartofmine very nearly, too big though 😢

I have a feeling it did but maybe one of those flannel types that are awful (in my opinion)

They last ages so if my last pot had a puff it was long thrown away

twiddlingthumbs69 · 26/07/2024 21:30

@Ridingthegravytrain what are you using as a puff now?

Iheartmysmart · 26/07/2024 21:30

I’ve got a Laura Mercier one which is nice but was quite expensive for what it is.

Ridingthegravytrain · 27/07/2024 07:33

I just apply it with a brush now. Gave up looking for replacement.

PragmaticDramatic · 09/08/2024 13:32

I’ve just bought two powder puffs in Aldi for less than £1.50 @twiddlingthumbs69 so it might be worth checking Aldi.

I thought I was the only person on the planet with this problem!!!! I am still mourning the loss of Corn Silk powder and now use Laura Mercier, although it’s quite pricey. My last powder puff, from Corn Silk, fell apart some time ago and I haven’t been able to find a suitable replacement, nothing is fluffy enough, so I’ve been using a large wad of cotton wool - not ideal but it’s the only thing that comes close.
