New job = new work wardrobe - any advice/ideas?

I've just got a new job, i work as a community nurse and am moving to a new trust and want to start in my new area with a new image.
I don't wear a uniform and my role has some clinical bits but is mostly managerial.

Any ideas what i should be buying?
I have a very large chest which is further enhanced as i'm still breastfeeding - currently a J cup .
I am a dress size 16/18, 5ft 6 and have dark hair and am very pale. oh and i'm 28 (Just!)

I have got a couple of suits but don't think i should wear suits all the time as i work with young people and need to look approachable. I want to sort out a work wardrobe and stop wearing all my clothes to work if that makes sense.

I really want this to be a new start in terms of me actually making more of an effort with my appearance. I love make up and can do that no problems, i love accessories but worry about what suits me - especially all these gorgeous chunky necklaces - but with my huge norks?

I'll stop waffling now - can you help me?

If you have very large breasts, you should use large accessories to counterbalance them.

Chunky bracelets and necklaces (especially short ones that don't jiggle on your bosom) are an excellent idea.

Also quite chunky boots and a huge chunky handbag (easy to find).

How about buying some all over plain outfits (black trousers, black sweater) and then some really gorgeous bright accessories in reds? Greens? Tortoiseshell?

Thanks Anna - I suppose that makes sense about chunky necklaces balancing out my huge chest.

I also think the plain outfits might make life easier and black is slimming

Black trousers and different coloured tops (avoid blouses, gappy disaster zones!)

Big scarves (great at hiding boobs and stains on tops )

nell i know exactly what you mean about stains on tops - everything lands on my boobs, not that i drop much when it comes to food.

As its summer, I wouldn't go all out black, but agree with keeping it simple and letting the accessories do the work.

How about some wide-legged linen trousers and smart white shirts - wear open necked with chunky necklace, sleeves turned up with bangle.
