Clothes for very hot weather but will cover arms

My DD (15) is going to Florida in a few days and has me worried sick! She is extremely self conscious and thinks she looks fat in everything (she doesn’t). She thinks her problem areas are tummy and thighs so I suggested longer shorts and looser tops.
Shes now saying she hates her arms so
wants to wear Long sleeve tops, are there any long sleeve tops (t shirt style, not shirts) that would be cool enough in such hot weather?
obviously I have tried talking sense in to her and said she looks absolutely lovely in shorts and t shirts, but she has a lot of issues ( which is a long story for another time ) but for now, I literally have a few days left to get her a whole wardrobe for hot weather that she’ll actually wear! Help! 😱

Can she wear off the shoulder type stuff?

I bought a few maxi and midi dresses that were off the shoulder and loose and I stayed cool and didn’t feel self conscious.

She needs therapy. Pay for that asap.

Why T-shirts not shirts? A long sleeve tee will be boiling, a loose linen shirt will be cool, and protect against burning too.

would she wear a dress?

Agree with the pp, shirts would be lighter, can be worn open. Loads around.

To be honest, we’ve been in Florida in insanely hot weather this year and a light short will do the best job, as it’s floaty. There is no nice way of saying this but she will see all shapes and sizes of people in Florida and given the excitement and holiday atmosphere hopefully she’ll forget about what she thinks of herself x

Nearly 2/3 of the population of Florida are either overweight or obese. Perhaps she won't feel so big after all.

What about loose, wide leg trousers. Just make sure there cotton or linen, not polyester.

Just to address the fact that yes, she does need therapy, she’s on a waitlist with CAMHS but has had a lot of intervention, so far nothing has helped.
She wears the same outfit all the time (leggings and a long sleeve sports type top), will not entertain dresses, shirts or anything that’s a sensible choice. I have ordered and sent back mountains of stuff that she tries on and then gets upset about how she looks.
This trip is something she wanted to do for years, but her mental health has deteriorated over the last year, so in a much worse place now.
I am trying to find anything that will help her stay cool but I know it’s going to be difficult.
Thankyou for your suggestions so far, i know it’s a tall order.
