Can you feel your foundation?

I'm a bit of a newbie to wearing foundation. Before I've tried a Virgin Vie compact powder and I could feel it on my skin ... not itchy or heavy but just a bit weird ... like it blocked my skin or something!

Just got a lilylolo mineral sample to try and I really like the look of it but it feels the same.

Is this normal and do you get used to it or am I a bit weird?!

You shouldn't be able to feel it, IMO. How much are you putting on? Perhaps the compact powder was too drying for your skin.

No.

I use, erm, i have no idea what I use, max factor I think, and I don't know it is there most of the time.

OK. Maybe I'm putting on too much?

I used to be oily as a teenager but now definitely getting drier. I don't have flaky skin though or anything.

I felt like that when I tried that Chanel Vitalumiere that everyone raved about. I couldn't wait to get home and wash it off. My skin is not dry and is about as sensitive as rhino hide so I'm not sure why but nowadays I just stick to tinted moisturiser type things.

virgin vie is a load of crap

also those compact powders are very cloying

I wear Bobbi Brown and it is fabulous

putting it on with a brush is good too if you can be arsed

try a tinted moisturiser instead - laura mercier in Nude suits all fairish skin types and is absolutely lovely
