Modest, fashionable, but professional outfit ideas??

Hello,

I’m about to start a new job and need a whole new wardrobe. It’s overseas and dress code is modest (on or just below knee skirts/dresses are ok). Sleeves should be past elbow. Neckline not too racey. I actually really enjoy modest dressing so this is a nice opportunity for me to wear lots of what I like!

I don’t want to go overly corporate. I work in a creative industry and I’m young-ish.

Please hit me with fabulous outfit ideas.

So far I have a great oversized blouse from French Connection, numerous decent trousers in navy, camel and black, (ankle grazers but in modern cuts).

My best buy has been a full length dress with pleated skirt, which surprisingly suits my shape very well. I’m 5ft6”, size 10-12, and fair ish. Not super slim, just average I’d say! I’ve got big-ish boobs.

I love the idea of co-ord but don’t want to do suits, perhaps one of those longer flowy abaya type tops? Amy pointers much appreciated.

I should add, I don’t mind colour but prefer to stick to a palette to make pitting outfits together easy: typically for me I tend towards navy, cream, camel, black, white, and orange!

I’m wondering if it might not be better to buy your clothes once you’re in the new country?

Perhaps yes, but many of the shops are the same, and I don’t want to turn up in “traditional” dress as that would be inappropriate too I think.

I’m hoping someone might pop along with some suggestions of loose, flowy style wear that still looks stylish and professional??
