Covering odd strands of grey

I am 39 so I guess it's all downhill from here now. Noticed a few stray grey hairs so just been cutting them off at the root but I know as I go into my forties, that won't work. I like my natural colour so want to hold off dying it as long as possible. What are good touch up options please which are on the affordable side ?I feel so old. 😔

Look, I get it. Your first grey hairs are a bit of a shocker. But given that you're looking for advice from people who've already been there, maybe rethink the 'downhill' and sad face about being 'old'.There is life beyond 40, and thankfully some of it involves accepting that your physical appearance inevitably changes. I chose to embrace my free, sparkly highlights, but hopefully someone will be along with some other practical alternatives.

39 isn't old! Many people start getting grey hairs in their 20s so it certainly doesn't mean you're old. I am starting to get a few and my hairdresser said the thing to do if there aren't many of them would be to just dye them individually and leave the rest of the hair alone. I guess it depends on how many you have though.

I remember feeling like that

but it is not true 😁

what is your natural hair colour? mine is a golden sort of brown, so I use cassia powder once a month which turns the whites a sort of blonde that blends in

Why on earth do you feel that life is just downhill after 39 ?? Absolutely ridiculous. And in case you haven't noticed, grey hair is incredibly fashionable.

I’m 39 and get 2 just to the side of my crown. I have really dark hair and don’t want to dye it - I just pluck them out!

I use loreal magic root spray, just covers up a few strands until I wash it again.

Hair mascara is apparently a thing. That could do you if just a few strands here and there.
