What to wear as an evening guest to a wedding?

Hi all!
My husband and I have been invited to the evening part of his boss' wedding, it starts from 6:30 pm and it will be in a golf course. What would be appropriate to wear? None of us has ever been only to the evening part of a wedding.
Thanks!

Just what you'd wear to the full day. You could probably get away with something slightly less dressy, but most guests will presumably have been there all day so you won't stand out if you just dress for a wedding.

That was my thought but I wasn't sure, I am not British so not used to the day guest and evening guest thing.

I'd probably wear what I'd wear to a fancier meal out or a birthday party you don't have to go full out for evening I don't think.

I'd wear a dress suitable for an all day wedding but minus the hat or fascinator.

the last couple of weddings we’ve been to, guests have either stayed in the clothes they wore to the ceremony or changed into nice jumpsuits for the evening dancing.

Oh I was at a full day wedding last year where women were talking about changing for dancing, that's quite the commitment 😂

I usually wear a party dress, less formal than what I'd wear if I was going all day.
