What to wear in Paris?

Hi! Im after some advice on what is fashionable but also comfortable for a week in Paris? I've just turned 30, 2 very young kids, size 12/14 (up from an 8/10 pre kids) and my body confidence is at rock bottom. I'm a definite pear shape and have cankles so would rather something that covered my legs.

I was thinking linen trousers & slouchy vests for the days and dressy maxi dresses for the nights?

I don't even know what looks nice any more! Any outfit suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

We've also got tickets for some of the Olympic events and DH has bought me a crop team GB jumper so any suggestions on how to style that without looking like a little cinnamon roll would also be greatly appreciated!

I used to live in Paris (years ago). Honestly, you aren't going to pass as a Parisienne unless you and your dp speak fluent French, so I wouldn't be overly worried about dressing like one! Especially during the summer and when the Olympics are on. You will be one of many visitors so I would just embrace being a tourist and enjoy the games 😃

I think linen trousers and a vest sounds lovely.

If I was younger and thinner (I'm 40 and a size 20/22) I'd wear a cropped sweatshirt over a slip dress or skirt or maybe a midi denim skirt.

PS: I was a size 14/16 when I lived there (although I am quite tall) and nobody was horrified. I didn't feel like the fattest person in the city by a long way, so please don't listen to the people who say you simply must be a size 8 to be accepted in Paris. I did not find that to be true at all ☺
