That's nice MMJ, but maybe a little bright for this occassion the way I'm feeling about it. (I'm being pernickity (sp?) but am hoping to 'blend' a little as I won't know anyone else and am feeling v apprehensive IYKWIM)

This might be a good place to look.

Purplemoon · 11/04/2008 18:31

LOL SL, are you a mind reader? Was just having a look on there!

What do you think would be suitable? I always feel so out of touch with "London fashion"..well any fashion tbh

I love this but think it's probably much to daytime-y?

SorenLorensen · 11/04/2008 18:34

Oh, it's no good asking me - I live in the sticks

SorenLorensen · 11/04/2008 18:35

I don't think that's too daytime-y though. Wtf am I doing offering advice on a style thread

Purplemoon · 11/04/2008 18:36

lol, SL me too. I only do "provincial style"

I think you would need a little bit of norkage - can you create something with padded, push-up type underpinnings?

Purplemoon · 11/04/2008 18:46

I do have quite a good bra reserved for such occassions SL

..but don't have enough to create any sort of cleavage , think this dress might need it, tho'?

bumpity bump....

How long have you got? Can you order the dress and try it? I quite like the other halter type dress with embroidery too this one I have the opposite problem - I am well blessed with nork and could never wear a halter neck anything.

antik batik at whistles?

Purplemoon · 11/04/2008 20:06

I have a little over two weeks so yes, SL , I probably do have enough time... it's bit tricky making that judgement just seeing them online mespec since I am a funny shape imo, but I can't justify the time of spending hours trawling the shops.

The antik batik dresses are nice incy, but unfortunately out of my price range

Purplemoon · 11/04/2008 21:02

hmmm, thanks Sputnik probably need something a bit more glam. Not that I especially "do" glam...

Am I too fussy?!

OP posts:
Purplemoon · 11/04/2008 21:05

thanks again PW...but nope, don't think (?) it's my colour... have dark brown hair

I feel bad for being so picky.. but I do appreciate the answers... anymore ideas?

Sputnik · 11/04/2008 21:08
