IPL hair removal for NON permanent results

Hi guys,
I just got my Ulike 3 and I was wondering if there's a method of using this device in a way that if I wanted, the hairs could grow back as they were. Or if I wanted to thin the hairs, but not get rid of completely - in my arms for example. What do you think?

IPL is only permanent whilst you continue to use it

Stop using it and the hair grows back

Im really lazy with mine. I will do the pits and then about 4 months later need to do them again . If I did them, and used the IPL every couple of weeks I wouldnt get regrowth

Once the hair follicle is dead, well, its dead! There is nothing I'm aware of that will cause hairs to grown out of the follicle thinner! Certain types of hair removal might make them feel softer but the hair shaft will always be the same thickness. Why would you use IPL to then want the hair to grow back??? Sorry, what am I missing? There are multiple other temporary hair removal types if that it what you want?

Because I'm a guy working on my androgynous look, but afraid of permanent results ^^ Body hair is still part of my body, so I don't want harsh changes.. What are these methods you suggested?

What are these methods you suggested?
Shaving
Depilatory cream
Waxing
Threading
Are all temporary hair removal options.

Home IPL will not kill hair follicles, they arent strong enough. They will damage them only which is why if you stop using them the hair will eventually grow back

Both IPL and Laser should only be classed as permanent hair reduction. Leave it long enough it will return

Even Electrolysis can not be guaranteed. I had treatment in my 20's, lasted a few years and the hairs reappeared and cos I found it too painful I never went back

Am I supposed to see anything happen after a session? I just tried it on parts where I'm sure I want, i.e. shoulders and neck. It looks as it was.

You should see a slow down in growth with one treatment. As soon as you feel hair coming through, treat again. I have some areas Im treating twice a week as they are being persistent, definitely scarcer but some wee blighters refuse to give up :) Other areas, as I say Im lazy and only bother treating every few months

Maybe it depends on the machine and hair type. I used a home IPL and have no dark hair on my legs or underarms anymore. I only shaved before that, so it can't be from anything else. I stopped using it 2yrs ago too and no regrowth.

Believe me , it will return.

This is why artificial skin was developed. Skin grafts to burns patients were left with hair growing where it wasn’t wanted. Even electrolysis will not permanently kill a hair follicle. Like grass it will always come back , be it a year, 5 or 10

So in two days I have a trip for a summer course abroad for a 10 days and I am wondering if I should bring the device with me. I'd rather not. By then I will have used it 2 or 3 times
