Spanx-Will they hold in my muffin top?

I watched Gok on the telly tonight ( sky +) and he had the twins in spanx. I reckon I'm the same build as them and would dearly love a bit of control over the old muffin top. Would you recommend Spanx or would a cheaper control pair do the job just as well?

any spanx type underwear will hold in your muffin top. I bought a vest called kymaro which hold in your tummy and muffin beautifully. i will try and find a link.

I don't think the regular Spanx 'power panties' are that great for muffin tops. You need the ones that attach to your bra.

p.s primark do cycling shorts type underwear v cheap that holds in tummys and higher. I like my one cause I like my bum it is just my muffin top I dont.

widgy - I bought the Primark version of spanx and they tend to roll down and my muffin top sort of plops over the top when I am least expecting it.

I think that would happen to me. I think I need the ones that come right up to your bra but look like normal knickers at the bottom

The spanx things that go from thight to under the bust are fabbo, and only abou 20 quid from the magic knicker shop

I like the look of the one widgypog linked. Only thing is, I'm a 14-16 at most. the sizes are 12-14, i'm not a 12, or anywhere near on top, or 16-18 and I'm no where near an 18... so, what size should I get? The thought of a 12-14 seems the 12 aspect would be too small, and the 18 aspect of the other too big... am I making sense?

a question for widgypog. The link you did looks great but My boobs are huge. Would the vest thing sit ok.Does it sit below the boobs or over them?

I am a curvy size 10 with 34d boobs and prob size 8 on top. I bought size 2 as I wasnt sure wether sizes were american or english and it seems a bit odd to have size 4-6. Mine does the job but I think the smallest one would have been better.It sits under my bust and even if the vest sits just on the edge of your bra it wouldnt really show.Its is not rigid so I think even if it was a bit on the small side it would stretch.

It really does smooth your lines as although I am fairly small my body took a battering from pregnancy and I have looser skin around my midriff and this is great for under tight tops.
