Tulle Skirt - help me style it please

I have a beautiful grey tulle skirt, full but not tiered.

I’m usually careful with my purchases and wear everything I buy but struggling with this.

So how do you, or would you, style yours?

TIA

Tight jumper in baby or hot pink
Band tee either tucked in or just above the waist of the skirt

What’s the occasion? I would wear with a tshirt and blazer for a casual look, waistcoats are fashionable at the moment for slightly more dressy occasions, I love the knitted jumper cosy look in spring/autumn. If it’s more formal - I wore mine with a lovely sequined backless top for a black tie event.

Fitted T-shirt or a boat neck top with 3/4 sleeves, pink goes nicely with grey.

Sleeveless satin top or a silk T-shirt in pink, or silver / a cool blue if you want to tone.

Fitted jumper for cooler weather. The Uniqlo merino ones are brilliant.

I like a contrast so a slouchy grey roll neck and trainers or a denim or biker jacket and DMs works well.

If you want to look more elegant then a fitted cardigan - I saw a lovely photo once of someone in a grey tulle skirt and a fitted white cardigan with grey polka dots, or a wrap/ballet style cardigan over a camisole.

I’ve worn it once over Christmas with slouchy jumper and chunky boots and now it’s stuck in the wardrobe.

I’ve just pulled it out and I don’t have band t-shirts but have some retro logo style ones and an old screen idol one (white with black and white photo) which actually look good combined with black flip flops. I like the idea of a waistcoat and high sandals for a dressier look too.

You’ve inspired me to dig mine out! I haven’t had the confidence or the occasion to wear mine in years but it needs an outing!

I love the idea of all these outfits but unfortunately tulle skirts make me look like the Sugar Plum Fairy/Mavis from Willo the Wisp 🤦🏻😂

I did pay quite a bit for mine so it’s quite soft and drapey with a nice jersey underskirt. Dark grey at the waist and fades to silver grey at the hem.
I loved it when I bought it but haven’t really worn it

Can anyone share where they got theirs from? I've been after one for past couple of years, but not found one I've liked.

What are you specifically looking for colour and style?

Oh Christ I got one of these made years ago, can’t remember where from but it was beautifully made. Sadly it made me look absolutely stupid and I donated it to the school dressing up store 😭 waste of £100 and lesson learned for me 😂

I’ve a pale pink tulle skirt that I used to wear with a grey wraparound top. Then I realised I looked like an extra from Black Swan. So now I’d wear it with boots and a contrast jacket (biker) and maybe a slim cashmere sweater or silk-knit slouchy tee.

I have one and have never found the right top. This is really helpful.

Mine was from coast but is about 6/7 years old now. It’s a sea foam green and quite a fluffy skirt. Maybe have a look through vinted?

I like a tight-fitting high/round neck jumper with it for during the day.
