Best shampoo for very dry/frizzy hair with flat roots 👌 🙄

Hi,

Yes, what a delightful combination. I've always had thick, quite curly hair, which was dry, but manageable with a weekly mask. I would always dry it as smooth as I could, as curly just never really suited me.

Anyway, thanks to low iron, bleach and general aging, my hair is now a bit of a mess and I honestly don't really know what to do with it.

I've lost a lot of hair at the top, but it's still quite big at the bottom, so I can feel a bit clown like 😒 I'm currently using the All Soft range by Renken and it is nice and does help a little, but I'm really hoping there's something better out there.

What I'm really after is something to really moisturise and de frizz, but not flatten and weigh down the roots.

Does it exist?...

TIA

I’m not sure on shampoo sorry as I’ve never found the holy grail but this stuff is amazing on my flat roots. I use it to get an extra day between washing too and it doesn’t make my hair matted and clumpy like dry shampoo and also doesn’t give me an itchy scalp.

Garnier banana food mask to soften and flatten then saltwater spray to give life to the roots

I wonder if you are stripping the curls of oil when you use shampoo?

Have you heard of the Curly Girl technique? I changed my regime with my hai and it does work.

Instead of shampoo with sulphates in it, you use CoWash, which is basically conditioner as shampoo. Then you use a conditioner as normal.

As I age, my hair is going through whatever changes but using cowash really helps it stay nice and soft.
