I rather like it, and whilst there are a few rainbow type umbrellas online I couldn't track down quite the same one.

Anyone know where Carla Denyer's umbrella comes from?

I’ve looked with the Google lens and haven’t managed to find it either, sadly 🙁. I thought it would be easier to find than it is proving to be!

MulberryBushRoundabout · 03/07/2024 19:33

I think it’s this one

Is it one of these (I know it is American prices, but it says it ships to the UK).

Actually that’s still not identical… it’s a 24 rib one though, which I think is the right size!

MuscariFan · 03/07/2024 19:42

I have this one from Amazon - it is a thing of beauty. Make sure you get one with smaller blocks and more colours, some are not this lovely - but this one is a spirit-lifting joy!

Soake make a very similar 24 rib one.

ScrapeMyArse · 04/07/2024 07:22

Not as good but I picked up a rainbow one in Tiger that still has much more than the usual number of ribs (so good in the wind) and was cheap (I will inevitably leave it somewhere)

Rainbows have been forever tainted for me over the past few years. I recoil seeing anything in rainbow colours these days.

It's not about you, though, is it?

I had a very similar one for our engagement photos and it was the Collars and Cuffs one off Amazon.

MassiveOvaryaction · 04/07/2024 18:03

I dunno about hers but there's a very similar one in the background of this video:.https://www.facebook.com/share/r/cwmm41eFuYheFCAc/

Me too. Not surprised to see her signalling in this way either.

Chartreux · 04/07/2024 20:17

Rainbows are beautiful, who cares what people think they signal.

I thought hers looked like it had slightly curved ribs, but on second thoughts it's just the angle of the photograph. I think it must be the Collar and Cuffs one, or a very close relative. Thanks so much, everyone.

I’ve had a couple like that from Tiger/Flying Tiger.

Possibly not as big as that one, though.

NotALightPacker · 05/07/2024 12:36

I bought mine from the Turner Contemporary

Jumping to conclusions much? It's actually the Pride Progress flag that makes me puke. The flag that promotes child sterilisation you know?

HelloJillll · 05/07/2024 17:33

It’s just a lovely umbrella. Stop being so keen to be offended BY AN OBJECT.

Well the umbrella was actually the colours of the pride flag (though if that was intentional of her I don’t know), so I think it was an ok assumption to make. The pride progress flag represents marginalised people of colour in the LGBT community, as well as those living with HIV/AIDs. I would assume you don’t have a problem with people of colour. So I assume it is the trans people you have a problem with. I don’t agree with unquestionable affirmation when kids say they are a different gender, I don’t like mermaids, but I know that no one wants to sterilise kids! Where did you get that from? If you are taking about surgical gender change, well kids can’t do that anyway, so that is still not anyone sterilising kids.
