Products that smell like a Turkish bath

Good morning,

Pretty much my first foray into starting a thread here, but have been lurking for years!

I want some toiletries that smell like a Turkish bath (or sauna/steam bath).

I have been using Rituals - Hammam. Eucalyptus and rosemary.

This was exactly what I wanted.

But.

Rituals have changed the product, and it is now eucalyptus and argan.

Is there anything else out there, that smells like a Turkish bath?

Thank you.

Penhaligons used to do a fragrance called Savoy Steam, and you can usually get a body wash in each fragrance (very pricy though!)

However I’m wondering if it’s also been discontinued as I can’t find it available on the UK site. Here is a description of the scent from the US site: https://www.penhaligons.com/us/en/categories/fragrances/shop-all/savoy-steam-000000000065173473

SAVOY STEAM Eau de Parfum

The perfectly perfumed hammam. Fresh Tunisian roses, incense and rosemary. 100 ml - fragrances - shop all

Oh, that sounds so good and expensive!

I love Cairo, so will look out for Savoy Steam.

Ideally, I'd like a body wash, cream and fragrance.

Am so annoyed at Rituals. Have been looking around for some older stock, but that will run out eventually

Oh no - I love that Hammam range! Perhaps try one of the outlets (there’s one at Bicester Village) for the old formula?

I went to Istanbul recently and the hotel had this range of toiletries in the bathroom:

More of a oud based rather than eucalyptus scent but still very ‘hammam’ like and unisex.

Thank you, that sounds lovely too. I love an oud based scent (although DH makes strange Dr Who based noises when I mention it).

There is just something about the eucalyptus/herbal smell, that the argan doesn't give.

I discovered a Turkish bath on holiday last year, and just one whiff of the scent is enough to make me feel relaxed now.

Lush do a bar soap called Unlucky for Dirt, it's rose and oregano and hits that 'herbal in a good way' spot for me. They probably have similar products that are shower creams or shampoo, but that's just the one I always buy.

I also recommend a brand called Athletia. Such gorgeous, fresh smelling products, all 'green' smelling without resorting to straight-up lavender or euc... They sell great sample sets but check for offers because you can sometimes try one for just p+p.

Not a fan of Lush, although that sounds like a nice smell. I once had a rose and frankincense face cream, which I adored.

Athletia sounds right up my street, I shall investigate, thank you.

I would recommend this brand. I am currently using it and smells like original Turkish bath and traditional Turkish soap HACI SAKIR
