Anyone got suede Birkenstocks?

I need a new pair of Arizona's for my holiday. I was going to get nubuck leather because that's what I had before and they lasted YEARS!! But I really like the look of the suede. Has anyone got them? Do they last ok, or would.i be better sticking to nubuck? Thank you

No, cannot imagine I would look other than hideous in them. Each to their own though.

I have suede Arizona’s and also Kyoto.. Love them both but the Kyoto is my favourite… worn 2 summers and still look fantastic!

I have had a few pairs of suede arizonas and I really liked them, found them more comfortable as they are softer. I also love the way they look, I’ve always preferred suede to nubuck or leather though.

The one caveat is that the black suede pair I had stained my feet. It didn’t happen with any other colours (even dark and strong ones like espresso or aubergine or bright ones like fuchsia).

They’ve all lasted well, I used protector spray before the first wear.

Should have said - mine are on their 3rd year and even with heavy wear, are still looking great.

I have some and they still look fine but they have stretched so are now a bit big

I was going to say the same. Have to have them on the tightest buckle hole and they still feel a bit loose. My leather ones fit better.

Hope you enjoy them OP! I have several pairs of arizona's, they're my summer sandal, but only one in suede. Although more comfortable, they just don't get the wear because I prefer to slightly dressier look of leather. But they are super comfy and are now my home slippers or for nipping into the garden.

Ah yeah I hadn't really thought about the stretching. Hmm. Might order a pair of each to try at home and send 1 back
