Please help me 🙏
September wedding reception
Size 18
Dress needs to cover at least the tops of my arms and belly.

I like most colours but especially jewel, black, metallics but open to ideas.

Prefer natural materials.
Any ideas wise S&Bs???

Agree with a PPs list of suggested shop. I would particularly recommend Roman! I went to a wedding last month, and was dreading shopping for a dress (size 16, recently had a baby).

Couldn’t believe how flattering everything was at Roman, and the prices are mad

MadameMassiveSalad · 27/06/2024 21:58

Maxi / midi length
Style I'd like to be fairly modern
Not too frou frou IYSWIM

Ordered this to try on. Not sure it will contain my boobs. But I love it.
I'm thinking dressed up with gold accessories / shoes

Other than the dress you’ve linked yourself, @MadameMassiveSalad I’m not sure you’ve been well served by this thread so far.

However, with just a few exceptions (like Nobody’s Child) you may find it easier if you’re able to stretch your budget just a little. From what I’m seeing this year most of the more desirable brands that offer size 18 are pitching their dresses at over £200.

For some reason, despite wrong fabric and wrong sleeve length I wonder if this might be worth considering - if it’s reduced in the sales. It’s just rather elegant and would be a lovely foil for jewels and accessories:

That's a lot nicer than the suggestions you've been given. The Me +Em dress is I think too office wear.

MadameMassiveSalad · 28/06/2024 18:05

Thanks quite like the gold 👍

Thanks quite like the gold 👍

The Nobody's Child dress you picked yourself is far nicer.

MadameMassiveSalad · 30/06/2024 11:29

Yes it's my current favourite @IHaveNeverLivedintheCastle

Just hoping for sine more options in case it doesn't suit me.

Have ordered it.

Not sure if you will like these but they're in your budget and all are natural fibres and made in the UK.

These are the summer range and the autumn/winter range will be the same styles but with 3/4 sleeves and darker colours.
