The breakfast dress 2024 edit

So, for those of you who read the infamous ‘breakfast dress’ post a few years ago, I thought it would be a good time to do a recap and/ or update.
Please feel free to post your observations/ thoughts. Just for fun.

June 2024. 5* all-inclusive hotel in southern med
UK women: Loose fitting shirt cover-ups (probably M&S). Knee length beach dresses. Love island wannabes: crochet, full length kimonos
German women: sports gear. Rubber sliders.

No ditsy prints. Not many maxi dresses - mostly knee length. No cream, beige, grey. No waistcoats ( a UK staple in our shops). Lots of white and/ or black. Short bohemian, local/ ethnic knee length dresses.

If you are anywhere where they have h and m, lots of their fake linen blue stripy shirt dresses- they are all over the place here (Scandinavia though!)

This is my sort of thread! I am sorting my holiday clothes for when I’m away in a week and could do with a couple more throw on breakfast dresses.

I need a breakfast dress for my holiday in 10 days and hoping I can find something in H&M or Primark.
I have the linen cover up shirt already :)

I'm currently obsessing over this kind of thing! And just browsing H&M ha ha!! Only totally cotton though, or will be a puddle on the floor.
