What is it actually called please? what does the pot/jar look like?
I can't work out of it's permanently sold out at mine or whether they just don't stock it... helpity help! (My face has suddenly aged about 5 years)

it is pictured at thebottom of this link

It is called Waitrose Baby Bottom Butter! Can be seen here. Seems to be a supply problem, nowhere had it, then it came back in and the entirety of MN bought the whole country's supply. Non in my Waitrose at the moment.

Spagblog · 09/04/2008 18:15

see through tub with a pale yellow vaseline like substance inside, a black and white baby bottom and the words "Waitrose baby bottom butter"

Indith · 09/04/2008 18:15

beaten to it

Spagblog · 09/04/2008 18:16

Plenty of it in Mumsnettedly quiet Norwich

Indith · 09/04/2008 18:17

If you can't get any have you tried ultra light from lush? Wonderful face cream with SPF.

donnie · 09/04/2008 18:17

i got some and it stinks!! plus it is too greasy.

misdee · 09/04/2008 18:18

i had some qwhen dd3 was little and used it on her bottom, was naff for bottoms.

is there another use for it?

Fullmoonfiend · 09/04/2008 18:18

thanks guys - figured it would help if I actually knew what I was looking for IFSWIM.

SmugColditz · 09/04/2008 18:18

I don't find it too greasy, but I have very dry skin.

Indith · 09/04/2008 18:18

Stinks? It smells of vanilla! Mind you I don't often use it on my face, it goes on ds' bum

Fullmoonfiend · 09/04/2008 18:19

misdee - unless it is a mahoosive hoax, wise mumsnetters claim it is very good as night time face cream. Can't find link to thread but...

OP posts:
SmugColditz · 09/04/2008 18:19

I use it all over, round my eyes and everything. Without it I am a lizard-like creature.

SmugColditz · 09/04/2008 18:20

And yes, I put it on before bed. Charliecat was very very kind and sent me some as I have no waitrose near by

donnie · 09/04/2008 18:20

my skil is dry too but I find that stuff just sits on top of the skin like a slick.

PixelHerder · 09/04/2008 18:23

Gave me spots

It's just hydrolysed olive oil with some added vanilla smell. It has gone off quite quickly too so will have to chuck it.

Fullmoonfiend · 09/04/2008 18:23

misdee here
I want some for my rhino feet and hands mostly, but would like to try it on face just to see...

misdee · 09/04/2008 18:34

i'm going to check the medicine cabinet and see if i have another pot anywhere? i obsessively buy stuff in pairs

Fullmoonfiend · 09/04/2008 19:08

erm, well, if you have a spare jar, I'll buy it off you

orangina · 10/04/2008 13:48

I finally found some last week and snaffled it up.. but think it's responsible for the sudden outbreak of revolting spots, after just one application....
(not sure whether to try it out once more just to check and risk spots....).
Might have to end up on ankles and elbows instead...

welshmum · 10/04/2008 16:00

I'm using it as a body lotion and I think it's pretty good - improved softness for sure

Tommy · 10/04/2008 16:04

didn't have any in my Waitrose either - after the holidays I am going on a county wide hunt for it

(I need it - last week, the checkout lady in Waitrose asked me if I was DS3's grandma )
