Help me find a dress or something....

I am 43 and haven't been out in the evening for probably.........years.
I work f/t with 3 kids and my weekends are literally spent cleaning and washing ( I'm sure you know the score)...
So last week, I thought that's enough. I am going to ask some people of they will join me for a night out at the weekend for my 44th.

I am also due to attend our year 11's prom ( for my students) next week and was hoping I could maybe get something for both.

I am fairly pear shaped (large backside and hips) but am also turning into a bit of an apple. My legs are tree trunky and not for show and I tend to wear a lot of A line dresses and wide leg trousers. I am approx size 14. I do have more up top in my older age than I used to.
I do not do stilettos I prefer to be comfy so I will probably wear platform sandals or something.
I don't particularly like totally sleeveless as my arms are a bit chubby too.

I'm not sure about wide leg jumpsuits yet (it's a possibility but do they suit my shape?)

I'm thinking black Aline/midi dresses but unsure if this is Ok for a night out on the town.

Please can you give me some ideas under about £80.

Who's a genius?

THank you

...Oh and I have a rather large sebaceous cyst on my back (upper left) so am also a bit self conscious of that (it's big and about 20 years old!).

At this rate, I'll be wearing a bin liner. 😋

My friend is a similar shape and looks good in weirdfish jumpsuits.
There is always a sale, or lots on vinted once you know your size.

Don’t wish to sound rude, but why have you left this cyst so long? Are you planning to have it removed? It seems to be sapping your self confidence

NHS will not remove it as it's considered cosmetic. Had it biopsied a few years ago. Said it wouldn't qualify as it wasn't hurting me. I'm just waiting for the day it gets infected.
Trust me, I know it's gross but would cost me a couple of grand to get it removed privately.

Nothing to do with the dress, but couldn't you get that removed?

Have you actually asked how much it would cost privately? A couple of grand sounds excessive! I’d tell the GP it was uncomfortable and affecting my daily life etc! Whenever I watch programmes like Skin A&E, Dr Pimple Popper etc, I’m amazed that some had had huge cysts and lipomas for more than 20 years, and say how it has affected their lives and self confidence. Once removed they say their lives have been transformed. I would not be waiting that long.
