Amazing fake tan for pale skin

I am pale to the point of being blue and have quite dry skin. I have tried so many fake tans over the years, all wasted money as they turn me orange and patchy HOWEVER against my better judgement I brought another with little hope. Bondi sands skin perfecting gradual tinted tanning lotion. comes in a gold tube, around £11. It is barely there... and needs building however it takes the edge off my blue legs. It is amazing. If you are looking for a deeper tan don't bother, this is really just for the really pale amongst us!!! Smells a little when applied but that goes quickly and you can't smell it, i'm off to throw away the collection I have built over the years!!

Ps I have been moisturising just before and then applying with a mit in circles. Tinted so you can see where it is going.

I use savers cheapest tan in light and moisturise for days beforehand so it doesn’t go patchy

Boots no 7

I'm the same as you OP and I discovered bondi sands a while ago, it's great and do easy to put on

Thanks op.

A more budget friendly gradual tanner is Garnier Summer Body in light tan. It’s almost impossible to make mistakes because it builds up over several applications. And usually on special offer somewhere.

My top tips are:

-Dry yourself after a bath or shower with a rough old towel to slough off any dead skin

-Use every few days to maintain the tan

-Apply sparingly on ankles, feet and just a tiny bit on backs of hands

-After applying, use a hair dryer to “dry” your entire body until the lotion doesn’t feel damp/ sticky on your skin. It Sounds weird but that’s a game changer for me 😂

Agree with @SmileyClare about using Garnier but I use the deep sun kissed one, makes skin so soft and I've been er been patchy or orange, apply every other day for a nice build up.

Isle of Paradise is nice . I used to love Skinny Tan but omg it's messy and stinks

@stimpy1 please can you post a photo? I’m not in the U.K., but will ask my dad to get me some and bring when he comes. He’s 80, so will need a photo! Thanks

Do you by any chance shave your legs? I need to do mine every second day on holiday and every gradual tanner I've tried goes streaky.

Anyone suggestions welcome. Laser hair removal and waxing no good due to skin sensitivity

EvelynBeatrice · 26/06/2024 12:04

The only tanner I've found that works brilliantly- not a gradual tanner - has been discontinued

Yes I have been just before I reapply which in the past has been a no no but it seems to be okay

Came here to post the same as @SmileyClare

Thanks @stimpy1. Appreciate it. Will try. I have been ordering my old L'Oréal sublime bronze cream from Amazon, but they're nearly out, so new suggestion greatly welcome.

Just wanted to thank you for this recommendation as I’ve just applied it for the first time and it’s just what I wanted! Instant, barely-there colour for my pale legs, makes the veins slightly less obvious and smooths the unevenness.
